The Kracki Hive Thrives Despite Clouds

File under: Gurubusting, Gurus Clockin' Dollars, Gurus Doin' Time, Satscams, and The Siddhi of PR

India's best newspaper dishes the dirt on the Bhagavan Kalki's money habits, which are largely about siphoning off donations to buy things like cars, houses, and dummy companies for your progeny in the States:
The report dated January 24, 2003 states that MM Giri alias Acharya Anandagiri, who was a student at the Jeevashram School where the ‘godman’ was earlier employed as the administrator, admitted in his fund flow statement (from 1998 to 2001) “that he had made gifts of Rs 2.53 crore” to Krishna and Preetha, Kalki’s son and daughter-in-law
Of course, the Kracki and his wife/co-conspirator are doing better than ever as a result of this latest brouhaha. There's definitely something to be said for the power of denial as a zeal-inducer in the empty-headed. Apparently, the authorities have been less than anxious to investigate the Krackster. Who is surprised about that?

Whatever, we're bored of the lame huckster and his faux goddess sidekick. Let those who believe, have them. Maybe a glimmer of civil responsibility does exist somewhere within India that can be brought to bear on their operation. It doesn't hurt to hope, as long as you don't expect. The turban is tipped to Tehelka for putting it out there.

Actually, Anandagiri, the two other main acharyas and 22 of the monks have separated to create their own movement. Two separate Oneness movements, quite an irony.

i'm begining to think india is a different planet all together...

and absoulutly no offence to india, cos i am indian...

but it seems to me that "god" these days, seems to get away with murder...

whatever happened to the high ideals of the scriptures?

it seems to me that once these gurus come to the west, they lose all inhibition and respect for old traditions and start exploiting their gullible followers...

and then when they go back to their home country, the people over there are blinded by superstitions, that any wrong the gooroo may do, is glossed over...

so i guess the gooroo is stuck in a win-win situation. poor goo roo.

in this case i'm talking of the goopoo's who always travel around the globe: ie prem rotrat.

It has fallen and resurrected umpteen times. When you start from zero there is nothing to lose. Kalki started from scratch and fell and even ostracised several times only to spring back stronger.

Just yesterday, Nithy has reportedly promised a 5000 fresh recruits of enlightenment in salem (south india).

All gurus are busy with major happenings awaiting round the corner. The coming full moon is a special day in thiruvannamalai where all gurus and disciples would converge and transform the place to a fantasy land where all miracles come alive.

Ofcourse the new year's coming up, then come shivratri, not to forget the 2012. Gurus are busy and gearing up. It appears Guruphiliac cant stop the new recruits but can offer solace to the broken hearts that went looking for enlightenment and got hurt.

Meanwhile jodi says he is bored, why is that ?

Because the number of folks willing to believe this nonsense is overwhelming and inexhaustible.

On the other hand it is Bhagavan himself pulling the prices way down, allowing much more freedom etc. Maybe it was the Dasa's that got a little big. They brought the whole Tony Robbins thing in which did not sit well with myself or others. Oh and India IS another planet. But thank God the planet know as the US is not the only planet...

Quackers, why do the typical Indian thing and blame the West for the crimes of your own country's so called gurus. Sai Baba never came to the west and got away with pedophilia for decades even though it was very well known to be happening.

though if you are representing the "west", then i would clearly blame an empty headed air head like yourself.

Nithy is competing with Kracki for big bucks from fools willing to pay many thousands in USD $$$$$ for "enlightenment" or "inner awakening" or "oneness blessing" in India.

Both of these guys have some ways to use subtle energy. I never met Kracki, but someone gave a "oneness blessing" at a community event. Something unusual was happening - I did not understand how.

They sure are exploiting their skill/knowledge of these subtle energy manipulation for worldly power and profit - while ruining many lives. It is like a drug high that you have to spending $$$ on or you lose it. Nithy can give a high (call enlightenment) that fades after a while - and some enlightened disciple escaped to expose him.

Most followers of Kracki or Nithy are good people fooled into spending big money on their drug or slaving for him. Subtle energy Junkies.

No, re India you said, "and absoulutly no offence to india, cos i am indian..."

Re the west you implied that going to the west does something to the gurus so that when they come back they do this or that shameful thing.

My experience is that these kind of gurus come to the west with the intention to make themselves rich, just as regular Indians do. Westerners are generally as open hearted and sincere as any you will find in India.

John Christian - Depends on what you call dirt. If someone in their own mind seriously believes they are on a Divine mission to help humanity but that belief is a narcissistic delusion, things tend to get very dirty. Bhagavan ist still obsessed with the idea that the world needs him and that 2012 something very special is going to happen, as is evidenced by some of his latest statements. He exhibits zero self - reflection of all the failed grandiose promises he made, the fact that he emphasized "setting right relationships" and yet is incapable of staying on good terms with the Acharyas, the fact that he and Amma are physically very ill and yet the newest gimmick of the Oneness movement are health courses, the fact that some former Acharyas and cosmic beings are living now as depressed homeless slum dwellers....compared to what was once announced in 2004 - 2005, when the Oneness movement came out big in the West, it has simply failed. If you are promised a five star hotel on a beach and then you get a sleazy shack in a slum wouldn't you want a refund? In spirituality, people seem to have this unending acceptance with a huge discrepancy between promises and reality. These completely overblown promises were definetely not the work of the Dasas or Tony Robbins. This was always a top - down organisation where Bhagavan's will reigned supreme. Bhagavan himself may very well believe in his messianic role, but he clearly exhibits various pathological patterns of narcissism, delusion, inability to deal with conflict etc. That is dirt in my book.

r u the same anon who was saying that people who get cheated by these frauds do so because of their karma and then started quoting (more like misquoting) from the bhagavad gita?

and when that didnt work got extra aggressive and called us

99.9% of Indians who come to the West are from wealthy families and they come here to create more wealth. There is nothing rasict about this fact. I am saying that the gurus are mostly coming for the same reasons. Quackers, you seem to consider yourself someone with a keen intellect. You should think again.

----------->>>>

Wrong. The wealthy Indians come to US to study and never to work. Ofcourse there is a sharp decline even in the students choosing US universities in the last two years. Most Indians you see in US in the west coast are sent by their companies on projects. These software geeks are mostly middle class Indians. Its not much about money because they have little chance of saving money in US. But their job profile gets better and when they returned to India they are supposed to climb the corporate ladder more easily.

Talking about gurus, its the same, they dont really depend on the middle class american money but their most money suplies come from the wealthy Indians living in india, they are far more wealthier than most wealthy americans. No doubt gurus make some bucks in the west but thats not their original idea.

The gurus actually go to west from India only to broaden their "vision" and "mission" which impresses the wealthy Indians who would consider such visits as bona fide of the guru. A guru who went to US or the west has more direct appeal to the upper crest India.

Never doubt for a moment that India has no money. It has enough money but all locked up in the lockers owned by a few, leaving the majority India in poverty. But in India few will run into millions of people, considering the 1.2 billion population.

Infact americans are far more calculative when it comes to spending money than Indians. Indians dont have a sense of balance when it comes to money and thats why the lopsided growth one witness in India.

Dear Quackers,

I can see how you would assume that all anonymous's look the same. I am not the one you mentioned. I have noticed that you are very quick with the insults and that they aren't very interesting. The fact remains that gurus do come here for money and most of them are scumbags. Nitya Bose, I accept your information about super wealthy Indians. Perhaps the up turn in India's economics will bring about needed social reform and the poor will rise up to take back the wealth. Let's hope so. My time in India made me hope that the poor would break down the walls of the wealthy. Things have changed a lot in the last 37 years when I began to participate with Indian spiritual groups. In the early 70's it was rare to see anyone from India. Since that time, there has been less and less governmental help for students in the US and a large influx of wealthier foriegn students. I have spent time with many Indians, mostly participating in so called spiritual events. Some are very sincere and good hearted but they all came to the US to make money.

"Quoting the local police and the ashram administrators, the Deccan Chronicle said they claim that the two men, Durga Vikas Dasji and Pavan, were killed in a motorbike accident. However, locals from Sathyavedu town, where the godman's Oneness Temple is situated, insisted that the deaths were shrouded in mystery and staged an agitation on Wednesday, demanding a fair investigation."
