Kaka Maharaj Teaches Shit

File under: Gurubusting

We call it truth in advertising: a guru named Kaka that teaches shit about the Self:
This Chaitanya (spirit) merging with [the] brain is, "Self Realization," he explained.
The Self, that nondual truth that we all are, has as much to do with spirit as it does with mind, body or our dog's ass, according to Vedanta.

We realize Kaka is just teaching what his guru taught, which we can imagine was designed to keep the devotees subjugated:
He said anyone desirous of initiation does not have to do anything but request the Guru and pray in all earnestness with complete faith in the Siddha Guru and follow his simple instructions at the time of initiation.
There's a lot that has fallen under the heading "simple instructions" over the years that had a lot more to do with pleasuring the guru than the enlightenment of the student. While we're not saying this is the case with Kaka or his guru, it certainly opens the door for those kinds of mischief and is reason enough for this blog to exist.

,,,,,objective of Yoga is to extend our awareness beyond our body and mind to the Spirit or Prana in Sanskrit language, which is the Universal Life Force (Chaitanya), lying dormant within every one of us.

this is the actual quote i think you are referring to, it's a ,discription of Kundalini yoga as near as i can tell, a time honored and well known path , what's the big whoop?

The "Life Force" isn't dormant, just unnoticed. Yoga is about bringing changes to allow the ongoing truth and condition to be noticed. It's not bringing anything new, or extending anything, it's simply seeing what has always been.

Changes, noticing differently, extending, waking up, who you say it? There's always this place where people love to start spitting hairs, I mean splitting.

I feel it's very important to pay close attention to the language, as it is the less precise descriptions that contribute most to the occluding ideas about self-realization that get my dander up.

Hi Yomamma,
I totally agree with your explanation. To grow on the true spiritual path, we have to open that dormant seal in our hearts in which bliss, love knowledge - the non-material things we hanker for, which is unattainable in this material world is residing. That can only happen with chanting God's name in a humble state of mind, being a good person, and going beyond the normal Hindu culture which the Brahmins promote which is Karma, Artha, Dharma and Moksha in our counsciousness. When our counsciousness or inner body begins to develop then we will be touched by Divinity who unbreaks that seal in the heart so as to connect with us and enable us to grow by ourselves. This only happens from our own eagerniss to attain God.Hence only a genuine Guru can reveal that knowledge and give guidance but the rest is up to the individual to accomplish.

What constitutes "bringing changes" how would you describe this? what changes are ok to bring what changes are occluding and misleading? I take the phrase "extending beyond mind and body" to be a way of noticing something, it's not saying it's new or more true than ,or a different condition.
yes some of the language is clumsy , but i don't think it's as bad as nano brain guy. and these guys are trying to get a point across not necessarily write the vedas. this seem like a small windmill for you Jodi. On the other hand sri sri good brainwashing , now that is unfortunate usage.

People change. Our point of view adjusts based on experience and understanding. We get mellower. If we meditate, our minds may get more disciplined, or patterned, or clear.

I take the phrase "extending beyond mind and body" to be a way of noticing something

I maintain that our spiritual truth is not beyond, it's within. The idea of having to "go" somewhere, in this case, beyond, could be occluding.

this seem like a small windmill

It is, but that doesn't mean it's not worth saying. To be perfectly honest, Kaka is probably not nearly as bad as the showrus. But it's about time gurus looked at what they were saying in the light of the images their words produce. They may be saying one thing, but plenty of folks are assuming something else. It's up to gurus to know how their words fall in the minds of their students.

I think this is such a tradition in some forms of Vedanta and Bhuddisim ,when i went to Shivananda Vedanta Center I learned all the neti neti stuff, Like "this body is not mine " how much further can you get from the body ? you disown it!!!! I thought that was pretty out there, and you focus on mantras which can further take you from the body orientation, but i guess that's why they do asana. What is the difference between getting beyond the body and , saying this body is not mine or saying form is emptiness emptiness is form, no eyes , no ears no mouth etc. If these are not ways to get beyond the body or at least conditioned experience of the body,I don't know what they are. all of these are ways of meditating that have been around forever, that the beginning seeker probably doesn't understand and could interpret in an incorrect way. Hell i've been pondering some of this stuff for longer than i want to say! If you are allowed to question then fine , if it is an enforced belief system then head out the door. I think Vendanta and Bhuddisim are at heart systems of inquiry and within that framwork you need the freedom to inquire. how can you ever really distill this kind of thing to any difinative statement , that will keep it consumer safe and friendly?

I'm willing to admit that maybe I jumped on Kaka's shit a bit too quickly in an effort to come up with something to comment upon, but I seriously doubt I'll ever admit that any "miracles" that happen by praying to a photograph are anything more than my own faith's magic, rather than really having anything to do with the person depicted in the photograph.

CHEAPEST - SIMPLEST AND HIGHEST are the teachings of P.P. KAKA MAHARAJ. the person who initiated this blog seems to be a person not having enough knowledge about life, GOD, spirit, and also himself. KAKA MAHARAJ teaches to FORGIVE ALL. So i would like to tell that guy " first understand yourself, know who you are?" according to KAKA MAHARAJ, EVERY CREATURE IN THIS WORLD IS FULL OF ENERGY. It is the same energy that you call GOD, ALLAH, Ishwar, etc. GOD LIVES IN EVERY HEART, so worship this ENERGY. AS THIS ENERGY IS THE MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE AND WE ALL ARE CHILDREN OF THIS MOTHER, SO WE ALL ARE BROTHERS AND SISTERS. AND WHEN WE UNDERSTAND THIS, WE CAN ESTABLISH UNIVERSAL BROTHERHOOD. THIS IS THE MOST POWERFUL AND SIMPLEST WAY OF ATTAINING WORLD PEACE.

I hope this will open the eyes of that guy.

I THANK THAT GUY WHO INITIATED THIS BLOG, BECAUSE OF HIM, I GOT THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPRESS MY VIEWS.

REMEMBER:- TRUTH ALWAYS PREVAILS, THE MORE YOU TEASE IT, THE MORE IT SHINES. THANK YOU, MAY GOD BLESS YOU.
