One Bored Guru Is Worth Ten Million Sri Sris

OMG!
We sit here in a stunned astonishment after reading the blog of the Bored Guru:
After a few regular 'intelligent' questions, the lady in focus appeared eager to say something. So I pointed at her and said "do you have anything to say or need clarification?" She was very graceful in her movement while she rose from the seat and then in a mild tone asked me "I have been seeing the intense glow you are emitting all around you. Can you explain that ?"Everyone reading this sentence, ask yourself this: Would Sri Sri Ravi Shankar have refuted the delusions of such a person at the expense of her opinion of him, as well as of those listening to the exchange?
Most of the 'aura seeing' people are never interested to know about what they see, but only interested to know about their own ability to see such glowing stuff. I thought this lady probably was different. So i said, "I never emitted any glow around me at any point of time". She replied with perhaps a little increased tone "But I have been seeing it, why, even now I'm seeing it actually".
At this point, I knew I am in for one more disaster. Meanwhile, I did not fail to see how a few others too were trying to sharpen their eyes and 'look' at my direction intently through the tiny crack of their eyes. The hour long talk on collective consciousness has already been tossed up in to oblivion and now I suddenly felt like some glow worm.
I said "you probably have certain flaw in your eye sight and you should consult a good eye specialist". I did not allow her to say anything from her side but I continued "It could be cataract or myopia and when you see distant objects it may appear to glow, especially if the eyes are watering". My knowledge in ophthalmology is as good or as bad as my knowledge in Chinese kanji characters. But I just tried to dissuade her by using all those few technical terminologies in medical science. That's why I also mentioned to her that she must consult a eye specialist.
Her graceful face now suddenly had a certain scornful smile. She said "do you mean my eye sight is not OK?". I said "without any doubt". She turned around both ways as if she need some support to prove her point. I realized all that she needed was a single nod from me saying "yes, what you are seeing is true". This would have made her a clairvoyant and made me a glowing guru and made the rest of everyone in the congregation a plain dumb ass. She was some how pushing this idea 'gracefully' and I seem to have missed her point. I must have spoilt those moments of a divine conspiracy. Now her personal prestige was at stake.

please tell what this is from and what it has to do with Sri Sri?
please tell what this is from
It's from a guru who refuses to abandon the truth to increase his market penetration.
and what it has to do with Sri Sri?
Sri Sri shits all over the truth in his unremitting quest to gather more name, fame and market penetration.
This bored guru guy is problem just some weird guy who is writing, pretending he is some great, known guru, and telling it "from his side". I think it's all pure B.S. truthfully. If this dude is really a guru, then he is totally in the dark, imo, except, perhaps as a pseudo psychologist.
Snore -- he bores me.

Your utterly inadequate and clearly uninformed opinion (imo) is the whole reason this blog exists. God help you for your ignorance.
I feel there is a lot of compassion in the words of Bored Guru despite his critical words. He is simply stating IMO that if gurus behave extra ordinarily then its probably because thats what the disciples want to see. Im surprised with his latest post about Billy Joel and his candid ways to connect things. I saw the video too and cant help but observe that the bar room in the video is exactly how the satsang these days are. Drunk with self importance(you can see 'koolaide' poured in to the champagne glasses), filled wit smoke of ignorance etc and a pianoman(guru) to sing and play music to keep the crowd enetertained and beleived that they are out of their sorrows. WAY TO GO Boredji. I never knew you are this kewl !
chuckji ! I wonder if some tornado visited dimebox lately. Where thou art? Even if the tornado visited, im dang sure it would not have moved an inch of YOU. It has always been my quest to identify your glorious self, and do you by any chance, even vaguely resemble like the bar man in the billy Joel video recommended by BGji?
I wonder what on earth has this to do with Sri Sri? It´s an extremely weak argument to make: "whatever Sri Sri would have done in the same circumstance".
Especially when the accusation is entirely composed of false fabrications and lies (ref. "Blue Star"). I leave it as an excercise for the reader to look up that word about its meaning, and how Sri Sri does not support airy fairy make-belief, in a skillful and uplifting manner.
Question:"Would Sri Sri Ravi Shankar have refuted the delusions of such a person at the expense of her opinion of him, as well as of those listening to the exchange?"
No, I don't think so, although I wish he would. It comes to protecting his vested interests and to much is at stake (read: reputation). But I do believe he might have thoughts/feelings about it. But as we have witnessed over the years, he has his own strategy when it comes to these kind of situations. He simply makes a face and says nothing.
I think "bored guru" is a fictional character. There is no way to be better informed about this since he uses an anonymous posting name "bored guru" which doesn't identify him any more than anonymous identifies me.
I find his writing totally self-serving, narcissistic, and obnoxious. Sorry, Jody, that you find my opinion so ignorant as to have to pray for God to help me, but hey, dude, I can use all the prayers I can get! So pray away.
In the meantime, doesn't is really seem convenient that this guy posts so much stuff here? Couldn't he be, for example, a "wanna be" guru? That's certainly how it appears to me (and a number of others, I notice on a pervious post about BG).
He is just as nasty as Sri Sri or any other big guru, in his blathering on about some poor old woman's cleavage, and her grabbing his "holy" ankles looking for a blessing, etc. Everything he writes about his "deluded" devotees makes me think he is even worse than those "godmen" who actually think they are God men. At least they really believe their BS. This guy is sitting there just fooling people who don't know better, then making fun of them on this blog. I find it nauseating.
Who is this Bored Guru anyway? Does he have a website?

Howdy good buddy! As said previously, if I resemble anythang it is a steamin pile of mule turd with a straw stetson on top! No tornados here in Dime Box as of yet but with this here global warmin and all these chem trails vaporin the sky it aint out of the question! Thangs have somewhat gone down hill here.... The used auto parts business is only hittin on 2 out of 8 rebuilt taiwannese cyllinders. My trouble with piles has come back on me and I'm goin in for my 3rd operation to deal with it. Mean time my feet has become so numb that I can hardly feel the grass burrs when I walk out of a night to squat! I wish this here Bored Guru could wave his magic wand and correct some of the issues at hand!
Talk about your bored guru, Da Free Jack can hardly work up enough spunk to tail flick the flies off his own ass. Still there are good thangs left in the world: the smell of okra fryin in hog lard and watchin John Wayne in Red River! I have become the silent witness here at guruphiliac but my heart remains spread wide and blue as the backside of my size 52 stretchy overalls! I remain...
Yours Truly,
Chuck
