Sri Sri Sucks Up To Bollywood Singer

File under: The Siddhi of PR

In yet another ploy to keep his name in the news, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar has awarded Bollywood singer Hema Sardesai the "international award for women achiever" at his excuse to get press international women's conference held last week at his Bangalore, India, headquarters. And right on cue, Hema provided the aggrandizement Sri Sri was looking for immediately after the presentation:
"It's an absolute honour to receive an award of this stature. What is more honouring is that the award was given by Sri Sri Ravishankar himself," Sardesai told a news agency over phone from Bangalore.
Wow! Hema went from suckee to suck up in under 5 seconds flat. That's sure to gain her entrée into the Art of Living inner circle whenever she and the little fame whore in a white gown happen to be in the same city.

Good for that bollywood singer, bravo. I am happy both are sucking up to each other. It makes for good entertainment. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. This is what self-grandazing people do. Each puffs up each other. Nothing wrong with that. And maybe Sri Sri is God in human form and this Bollywood singer recognizes it.

You are always so flattering to me. You always think I oded on the Kool aid. I dont drink anything other than water. I am as pure as they come. I dont drink any alcohol or coffee or tea. I am celibate and meditate daily.

I just like Sri Sri and see the Divinity in him.

Maybe you drank Kool aid of a different kind Jody! Especially when you call the harmles white robed guy a "the little fame whore in a white gown". Granted the man is more than a little addicted to seeing his name in the lights, like the Rhinestone Cowboy, but that really was a bit over the top! You write well and have a wicked sense of humor, but hey, go a little easy man!

I am as pure as they come.

But maybe not as smart. The purity you are bragging about has as much to do with your truth as the Self as my dog's ass.

I just like Sri Sri and see the Divinity in him.

There's no accounting for taste, and the wonders of gullibility never cease to amaze.

He rapes the truth of self-realization with every projection of his bogus divinity. It's wanton violence against that truth.

I'm always on the wrong side of the bed when it comes to these self-aggrandizing showmen playing God for those stupid enough to believe in them.

"the little fame whore in a white gown".

I like the sound of it, Jody. As a former supporter of Me Me Ravi Shankar, I appreciate what you're doing here.

Either we are all Divine Incarnations or none of us are.

Give up Jody. Your cause is lost. Shme Shme now has at least one "Art of Living" Shop in Bangalore! They sell ragi, vegetables, fruit, clothing, you name it. Yet another way to earn for the mission of misleading the world. Laugh Sing Dance and Meditate your way to shopkeeper's status! A new way to enlightenment! He's on the sides of buses, he has shops, he's fooled several US Senators/Representatives, and most of the Bangalore Police department.

Hang it up Jody, you are pis**ing into the wind, as they say. The little man has successfully duped the general public and deadened their sense of Reality, replacing any possibility of the same with trinkets and toys and deadend practices. Oh well, sigh, so goes another Grand Guru.

(But don't really give up Jody, even though you are beaten at least by this Creep Creep Ravi Shankar.)

I’m one of those that was an ardent devotee but I snapped out of it in a year (and thank goodness I did). Why? I found SSRS hypocritical. Allow me to narrate just one incident:

Just last week he was in a 4-hour stopover at Bahrain airport. He has a fan following in the country and it would have been no trouble at all to get a visa so he could see them, but he refused to enter the country unless he was given State invitation! If that isn’t hugely egoistic I don’t know what is. I was totally disgusted. And then he had the audacity to add, ‘the people of Bahrain are not ready to meet me yet.’ Yeah, right.

In the private lounge at the airport where he met a few people, everyone sat on the floor, but the Indian ambassador to Bahrain sat next to him on the sofa. Why the distinction?

Meanwhile, outside, the devotees conducted themselves in a deplorable manner over the matter of who would get a pass to go in and meet him. Instead of exercising the love and compassion and detachment that they are taught about in the course, they fought about it, hurt each others’ feelings, and were generally bitchy. I’ve seen less ‘enlightened’ people behave with more decency.
I think it’s great that he’s improving so many lives, but I have also seen families ruined by this juggernaut that is the Art of Living Foundation. The tragedy of these people is that they think they have been ‘saved’.

For those who have closely followed SSRS career know that in the beginning he was competing for disciples with one of his guru-bhais: Rishi Prabhakar. [http://www.rsvk.org/]. Both were at one time students of Mahesh Yogi. At one time rivalry was so strong that AoL would not teach anyone who had done Siddha Samadhi Yoga of Rishi Prabhakar and vice versa. Later, SSRS became much more famous thanks to his exceptional marketing genius. However, this was not enough for him. He wanted to prove that he was a greater realized person than Rishi Prabhakar. Again, by a sheer stroke of genius, he achieved this by conferring the title of "Rishi" on his senior lackeys. This strategy has been so effective that SSY (Rishi Prabhakar's organization) teacher have to explain in their courses that their teacher "Rishi Prabhakar" was not another student of SSRS to get his title of "Rishi" from him.

I don’t begrudge SSRS his millions and his terrific booming business, but I do mind him preaching about love and humility when he does not practice what he preaches. One only has to look at the two ‘Sri'-s to see just how ‘humble’ he is.

I do! If he's supposed to be God come to save the poor, he should be giving everything away except that which will cover the most humble means. The guy is a flashy exploiter of others' suffering, the exact opposite of what he presents himself to be.

If Me Me was feeling so competitive with this half baked guru brother of his who nobody has ever heard of, Rishi Prabhakar, imagine how driven out of his mind he must be by Ammachi and her success, especially since she came from a fisher family and is a woman. He must be secretly gob stoppered over it! He must know that no matter how many buses he has his picture on, he will never be as famous as Amma, Sly Baba, or even Maharichi Mymess Bogi...

I am very smitten with Sri Sri because I clearly see the Divine in him. I didn't see it for 2 years and then one day I saw him as the Infinite Divine. Amazing experience. Perhaps I was drinking the slow acting koolaid, Jody!

I see the Infinite Divine in my dog's ass everyday, and it never asks me for money or flies in helicopters or greedily collects awards for its own self-aggrandizement.

Rishi Prabhkar is a "BIG FRAUD", He uses HYPNOSIS in SSY to alter your perception of life, and redirect it to NON-DOING state.

Using psychology games removes your desire for money and signs you up for electronic transfer of money from your account to his account.

He also tells in SSY we should keep ashrams activities secret, other wise life will get distroyed.

In BST he removes relation ships using gestalt therapy with kith and kins(family members) and then uses them to ROB other people.

After attending BST people cannot have sex.

Since his activities are to be kept secret, people take long time to realise.

Yes, you are right. The whole thing is a racket. You undergo even some of these courses and you will become mentally disturbed for life. The organisation preys on vulnerable, insecure people, practically force them to extol SSY's virtues before audiences and suck in more customers.
