Assassination Attempt Becomes PR Boon For Sri Sri
File under: The Siddhi of PR
Our own guru of gurubusting just informed us that last night in Bangalore, after returning from giving satsang, someone took a shot with a .38 handgun at the car Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was riding in. An attendant sustained a minor graze, but there were no other injuries. Nobody saw the attacker.
While we are sincerely glad he "survived", we wonder if we'll be the only one to consider the fact that this "setup" has resulted in a huge PR boost for Sri Sri. As one might expect after observing him for a few years, he's already playing it up as the spiritual hero and has "forgave" his attacker(s).
Like other brilliant self-promoters throughout history, Sri Sri has managed to turn this sour vinegar into a fine wine.
Update: As forecast, it's turning out that Sri Sri just may have brewed this vinegar himself:
It seems like this fell far short of a serious attack on one of India’s most revered religious figures. This assassiscam has been brought to you by the Art of Living.
The director-general of police of Karnataka, Ajai Kumar Singh, held a press conference Monday morning. Among his revelations: The bullet was fired from more than 700 feet. That’s more than 200 yards. With a .32-caliber pistol.
He also refused to call it an attack. Or an assassination attempt. Or, indeed, anything beyond “an incident.” He noted that the incident appears to have taken place five minutes after Mr. Shankar left the place where it happened.
Home Minister P. Chidambaram, at a press conference later Monday in New Delhi, also said it was his understanding that Mr. Shankar was not there when the incident took place and that it stemmed from a disagreement between two of his followers.

A nice PR Exercise by Sri Sri and already lot of questions have been asked by media channels for which the answers are conflicting between Sri Sri and the Police and now Sri Sri is upset with the Police version .
Check out artoflivingfree,blogspot.com for all the contradictions and different versions of the story. Another scam for marketing purposes?
Sri Sri was not even there when the shot was fired. That's what the police investigation reveals. See:

His game is exposed - he's been caught lying to gain cheap publicity.
And if indeed gun shot was fired by a supposed terrorist, it was highly irresponsible on his part to conduct satsang at 7 PM. They did not even file the police report till 9 PM.
This whole thing is rotten.
This incident has clearly proved what a lair Ravishankar is.

In one single interview he is giving conflicting statements. First he says that he came to know about the fact that it was a bullet fired after 45 minutes and next he says he did not want the devotees to panic after the bullet was fired. He says cops are telling a white lie but I wonder who he is trying to fool. I am also wondering about the intelligence level of AOL devotees who planned this fiasco and also the other idiots in AOL who beleive in these blatant lies.
WAKE UP, AOL-ites , YOUR GURU IS SO LOST, HOW WILL HE GUIDE YOU? HE IS A LIAR, WHAT WILL HE TEACH YOU? Today, he looks like a publicity hungry guy- male version of Rakhee Sawant- hahaha!! He looks foolish, and if you are his follower you will look equally foolish. He has embarrassed himself, and you alike!!!
Finally, the mystry is solved. The gun was fired on a stray "dog". We agree. SSRS is indeed a stray dog:

Dear Guruphiliac,
I so enjoy your fake-guru busting posts.
You may like to give the link to the new blog exposing Sri Sri too. Thanks.

They have your link on their blog.
This is for the blog author. Has anyone tried to investigate a so-called Mystic Woman saint " as she calls herself" Anand Murti Guruma. She is very intimately involved with Ravi Shankar, Morari Bapu, avdeshananda and the likes. One probably cannot find physical evidence , but this woman is the "Mistress" of these men and everything happens at the Astral Level. These men along with this woman transfer their consciouness along with their mind and senses into other peoples bodies and enjoy all the sensual pleasures. Seems absolutely bizzare but is actually happening, not a figment of some sick mind, if you think so. Look up Patanjali yoga and Shakti path and you'll know this is possible. These men have very carefully from a very young age projected her as someone very spiritual and have set her up. There is very little that one can do about these going ons, yet I guess it's nice to be informed. What you guys talk on these blogs is only the tip-of-the-iceberg of what is actually happening. These guys are sitting pretty knowing that they are very powerful and no one can get to them.
Some geezer was trying to shoo away stray dogs. But he misfired and almost missed the SSRS - the big dog.
Law of karma catching up with SSRS slowly but steadily:

It was in fact a BB gun, driven by gas and shooting tiny pellets, contrary to the claimed .38.
Extremely surprised by what anonymous wrote about astral level pleasures, etc.
I wonder if some people follow practice of AoL, there is no harm in it. I have seen many of my friends benefiting out of it.
I mean one does not have to be too involved in it. U can continue with practice, which is not much new and is there in our hindu scriptures also.
Ans as far as that astral level...etc etc goes, how does it matter to us. Till the time we benefit from methodology, who cares. They are not sexually physically abusing u.
In fact as is revealed in the book 'Secret', u can be convinced of anything and entire universe and so called mystic law will ensure that u achieve it. Now if it through AoL or SGI or any other means, we should not bother too much.
I appreciate the other side explained in this blog; though I believe every one has a right to take his/her own call.
