Prem Is A Starry-Eyed Suckup

File under: Satscams and Gurus to the Stars

The Prem Rawat Foundation has joined the list of 2007 GRAMMY Award nominee corporate suckups:
Each guest will be given a "golden key" upon entering the GRAMMY Celebration which they will take to the "Hilton Serenity Lounge" for a chance to win very special prizes from Hilton and other companies including Chadsworth & Haig; Crabtree & Evelyn; Distinctive Assets; Dr. Bryant Bruce; Elliott Lucca; Gibson; Hilton Whistler; Impromptu Gourmet; Joluka; JVC; Lancel; Logitech; Nespresso; Netflix; Partow Gallery; Philips; The Prem Rawat Foundation; Uroboros, Inc.; and Verizon. These companies will be showcasing unique surprises that will delight party guests while redefining the traditional party gift bag.
We hear Prem is going to be gifting the stars with paper bags full of the hot air that came out of his mouth during one of his many peace promotion junkets. You know, the ones paid for by poor saps who believe he's in it for something, anything other than to cover fuel and maintenance costs on his Gulfstream jet.

Dear Jody,

Is Jesus Christ a space-daddy?

Yes, but with one important difference.

Jesus is purported to get his space-daddy powers from the fact that he's the unique and only son of God.

Gurus acquire their "powers" from the fact of their sadhana and their realization of themselves as God.

Both are equally ridiculous.

What about the extra ordidary things that can happen when a person has faith? I have often been told that faith in oneself is identical to faith in God. Faith to me means an applied awareness of my own simple existence, without any overlayers of beliefs, ideas, etc.

This question is not related to the above mentioned examples of space daddies.

Faith and the power of belief allow the mind to manifest in seemingly extraordinary ways. Additionally, faith if your space-daddy can be just as effective as faith in God or yourself. However, it's because of a ruse – your belief in the power of your space-daddy, which never actually existed.

In other words, it's by way of a spiritual placebo effect that space-daddies are any help to those who believe in them.

I agree with you. The God or Guru is a symbol of our own self. By first focussing on them, then seeing through the illusion to our own existence, then seeing through the illusion of that individual illusion, the simple awareness of just being remains...or something like that...

But for people not ready to hear this, taking their Gods away is like taking a child's security blanket away. Besides that, the God or Guru is often the primary example of pure love and peace that the individual has ever known.

I think it's more accurate to say that Guru is often the primary object upon which the individual projects their own ideas of pure love and peace. Pull back the curtain a little bit and you get another human being making their way through life, often with the same greediness, pettiness and nastiness many others employ in the pursuit of the good life.

For example: Prem Rawat. I don't care what anyone says, but a man who owns his own Gulfstream jet does not have the best interests of others at heart.

We are in complete agreement. The guy is a creep. I saw hm in the astrodome in 1973. Outside the gates were christian protesters warning those who entered were facing damnation. He gave a paltry talk and admitted he was like a car stuck in the mud, that if we all gave hima push and then jumped on board, we could get a long ride out of him. Not impressive unless you remember that he was just a little kid at the time.

A flimflammer practically out of the womb.

Anonymous: Even though i agree that this Prem Rawat is 100% fake, i dont agree with the argument of why he is fake because he has a Gulfstream jet.

Can't enlighetened ones have jet/car and still have the best interests at heart? I feel, enlighetenment is not about what you have, its rather about how you can be without it when its taken away from you in a jiffy.

I'm not saying this Rawat is enlightened or even close to that, but just quoting with a true master in mind

Not when he claims to be the head of a non-profit org whose goal is to help the needy.

The goddamn thing cost 60 million dollars for fuck's sake!

Mind you, i am not even seeing Rawat here, say we take a man like Vivekananda for this example.

Even if its a non profit org, they will need to spend money on tickets to travel around the world. So if some rich guy offers to buy His holiness a jet, whats wrong in that non profit org to have it. Just because the guru accepts a gift, it does not make him/her less enlightened or unenlightened.

That's correct. It's costs thousands of times more to fly a private, fuel-burning monster like a GS jet than it does to fly coach.

say we take a man like Vivekananda for this example.

While we can't know for certain what Swami V. would have done, I highly doubt he would accept such a ludicrous extravagance.

Just because the guru accepts a gift

According to my info, his own org paid for the thing. He could have bought air tickets for himself and an entire city for perpetuity on what he paid for that jet.

if some rich guy offers to buy His holiness a jet, whats wrong in that non profit org to have it.

The fact that it costs thousands of times more to operate and maintain than just buying a regular air ticket.

it does not make him/her less enlightened or unenlightened.

It does if he claims to want to save the world.

I'm not saying Rawat is not enlightened, I'm saying he's a fucking greedy pig on the scale of a Roman emperor.

greedy pig? sir, you are offending the pig! Mr Rawat has made a wonderful life for himself and immediate family, by not working a day in his miserable existence but by bleeding poor people out of hard earned money. the luxurious lifestyle he has, has been built on the wills, donations, inheritances of his devotees, some of whom now face poverty in old age! rawat couldnt care less about them and often ridicules and dismisses them still!

here's the very latest on pratface's cult:

Providence is hosting a benefit TPRF Golf Tournament with Charanand!

Benefit Golf Tournament and Dinner
The Prem Rawat Foundation
Food for Peace Program
With guest speaker, Charnanand

All donations will be for the Food for Peace Program.

Charan Anand will speak at the dinner and there will be videos about TPRF's work.

to inform everyone, charanand is the same cult official who, along with rawat, closed ranks on the victims of child abuse that happened in the cult.

and my next point is, what does rawat do with the millions of dollars in donations he gets?
he certainly does nothing for his followers and he certainly doesnt give it to charity.

so what does he do with it?
stash and horde the millions away in the bank of course!

rawat is worth a estimated 100 million dollars!

so why does he still need to do fundraising events to give to charity?

why doesnt he empty some from his massive bank balance?

some charity!
the treasure chest he has is over spilling yet he still sends his sychophants out with the begging bowl!

what deceit, what a sham! what a utter turd rawat really is!

thanks prem, its comforting to know that you are spending our hard earned cash we've given you, poncing about with the hollywood elite.

giving them expensive gifts which they dont need, and sparing the poor who probably do need expensive gifts from you

thanks again, we're proud of you

you have shone a bright light on the name of "sant mant" tradition

saint kabir would be especially proud of your antics, especially since i think everytime his name is mentioned through your dirty mouth, he must be cursing the time he came to this world

but anyway, noone, not your family, lineage or past gurus, would ever be proud of the way you have lived your life...

but it doesnt matter, you are very proud of yourself for all of them...

so well done rawat!

btw...maybe you'll meet paris hilton and she'll make you her satguru. we hear that you have a very soft spot for her....if you werent a guru (albeit a very very bad one), i'd think your intentions were not entirely honorable...

but since you are a guru (albeit a pervy bad one), i'll let that pass...
