Where Did Ching Hai Fly?

File under: Satscams and The Siddhi of PR

Folks in Thailand are wondering where "Supreme Master" Ching Hai went. She was supposed to attend the closing ceremonies of her own conference at the Ambassador City Hotel in Jomtien, Thailand, but at the appointed time was a no-show, disappointing many of her devotees who no doubt had paid thousands of dollars to see her.

Cha-Ching Ching is a very popular sound and light pusher along the lines of the Sant Mat "masters." She had once tried to position herself as the enlightened Madonna of Asia, complete with cheesy video song performances. Noted for her expensive tastes in fashion and lifestyle, we'll note her for the usual guru propaganda which seeks to paint her as a veritable Quan Yin walking the Earth:
So it was inevitable that one day She would find the Master She had incessantly yearned for. That Master was the great Master Khuda Ji, who lived in seclusion deep in the Himalayas. Master Khuda Ji was four hundred and fifty years old when He initiated Supreme Master Ching Hai into the ancient art of meditation on the heavenly Sound and divine Light. He had remained patiently in His Himalayan abode waiting for Her. She would be His first and only disciple.
Another self-aggrandizing narcissist on a mission to pimp herself as a living deity, bringing home big bucks for her effort as the rich fight for some time (and photo ops) by her side. You can find worse gurus than Cha-Ching Ching in the world, but not by much.

Maybe she has ascended to heaven, to sit on the right hand of the Lord, or in his lap if that seat is already taken!

Everyone who was there at the Seminar knows that she was there!! And I don't seem to get what kind of "Flying" is the blogger trying to imply here!

I just seem to stumble upon this page and was amazed what you guys are trying to convey to readers like us!!

Please try to post something that is worth looking at, and please do write with Truthfulness and veracity!!

Honestly, I was just amazed how some people like this blogger cannot understand someone who is so much selflessly devoted to the good cause of Truth and Spirituality...

That's because you are duped. I can see that Ching Hai is a myth-making con woman. She is selflessly devoted to her own power and fame as a guru.

may God forgive you, and bless you to discover the Truth...

i also went to thailand met 'thousands' of others who also went, but met none who paid thousands... in fact it was less then $300 to stay 10 days in a 5 start hotel, including all meals, and we were even offered money back...

it costs nothing ever, to learn her meditation, or practice it, or to see her in person.

i have yet to find a bigger humanitarian then her.

do you feel those that awarded her the Gusi Peace Prize were also 'duped'?

No, they were probably paid off.

Many ching hai follower are leaving her group as she become more paranoid & skips meetings shouting her head off for no reasons.
She used to teach the "spiritual" things in the old days but now she scares everyone with one-sided alarmist global warming psycho-babble arguments for world destruction by 2012 if we don't do want she says.

By the way for those followers on here, khuda Ji is a lie. Ching Hai's real master was Thakar Singh.
Ask her & see how she angrily avoids the obvious.
She even use his same exact spiritual diary for all of you to use after your initiation.
After Kirpal Singh, then Thakar Singh & now Baljit Singh control that group that ching hai used to be contact person for.

Open your eyes people before you waste your life too much.

Ask yourself this, why would your master allowed you to tell lies to so that her books can reach no.1 book while at the same time asking you to keep the precepts?

What a supreme master eh:-)

There are other crazy stuff, but you must search within youself so you can be freed of all this following-of-guru-syndrome.

It is easy to put down people in powerful positions. Her work has benefitted many. He ideas on veganism are right on target. Until we stop commodifying and killing animals for their meat and secretions, we will never bve free from the cycle of violence.May all bveings be happy and free from suffering

You the disciples & supporters of ching hai haven't even began to address the main topic of the post, that is ""Where Did Ching Hai Fly?". You choose to brush that under the carpet with your lies & deceit, and then you have the audacity to accuse others of "put down people in powerful positions"

It is you who put yourselves & your cult leader down by your joint nefarious activities.

Mr & Mrs "Microsoft" do more for charity than ms ching hai can ever dream of yet they don't claim to be jesus or God!!

And while vegetarianism is good, why advertise it with alarmist propaganda? it or the earth will be destroyed in 2012 etc!!!

This is the classic cult tactic of controlling you by fear.
And "fear is the absence of God"

If you don't know anything about something or someone it doesn't mean you have to critizise.

You think you are saying something ingelligent, but you are just using intellect to justify your hatered. Also remember that we see in the world only what we are inside.

Please don't write about things you don't know. Supreme Master Ching Hai is the best!

The Daily Northwestern.

Letter to the editor: The Daily’s recent ad promotes controversial cult.

Published: Monday, May 2, 2011
Updated: Monday, May 2, 2011 01:05

My mom's hero donated $880,000 to Bill Clinton in 1996.

Such philanthropy seemed implausible, so I did a little research and asked my mom about this mystery Asian woman—who apparently really loves the Clintons—during winter break. Defensive and fighting back her tears, my mom insisted that "Supreme Master Ching Hai" is the panacea for the scourges of today's society. The very mention of Ching Hai as the wolfish cult leader she is sent my mom into rage of emotion: this is now her god.

Ching Hai readily accepts this title. She is a Vietnamese vegan who runs a worldwide chain of restaurants called Loving Hut. She lives in a chateau in Europe. She runs a 24-hour television network with programming that's subtitled in 21 languages (the text itself fills more than half of the screen). And she has allegedly sold her bathwater to the highest bidder to drink. Little else is known about this woman. She is incredibly secretive and she gains followers by promoting her dubious Quan Yin meditation method, not to mention by hawking her overpriced art and jewelry.

I asked my mom, "If you met Supreme Master Ching Hai, what would you say to her?"

"I love you," my mom said without hesitation.

This is worrisome to me. My mom was raised Buddhist and has always been devout. Last year, my mom learned about Ching Hai and for some inexplicable reason, she couldn't see past the hoax of the grimacing woman with Lady Gaga blonde hair or the cartoon animals with word bubbles coming out of their heads saying things like "We pray for your souls. Please don't eat us." My mom plunged into a period of staying up late at night streaming Ching Hai's videos off the Internet. She stopped going to Buddhist temple. And she bought 50 copies of a Ching Hai children's book called "The Birds in My Life" (a tacky, grammatically unsound scrapbook replete with odes to Ching Hai's poor, poor pet birds) and donated them to the Salt Lake public library system. Needless to say, the library staff never put the books on its shelves.

And Bill Clinton, too, rejected and returned the funds, which were dubiously raised.

Yet the Daily Northwestern's advertising section went ahead and welcomed Supreme Master Ching Hai's ad dollars. On April 26, the first ad was published on page 11 and I immediately contacted the Daily with my concerns. Today, you'll find the ad again. Three more times this quarter.

But, hey, anything for a buck, right?

I am concerned that the Daily published and will continue publishing this ad and I hope that no reasonable student, faculty, or Evanston resident takes the ad seriously. No, you won't save the world if you are vegan. I'm glad to say that my vegan friends at NU don't suffer from the delusion. And you probably won't save the world if you purchase Ching Hai's jewelry or bathwater either.

I want to laugh about all of this. The ad is absurd and the message is sickeningly blithe. But this woman is tearing my family apart under the guise of philanthropy and environmentalism. I cannot stay quiet about this. Even as a member of the Daily staff, I feel compelled to raise this issue.

The fact that the Daily Northwestern, an award-winning student publication at a university that houses one of the leading journalism schools in the nation, continues to run this advertisement is a farce. To do so is to accept and, worse, to promote a known and dangerous cult.
